This past weekend it was unbearably hot in Denver, so we headed up to the mountains to cool off a bit. I'd say the dogs stayed the coolest, as they got to go swimming both days (Izzy was in heaven, Bronco was just happy to wet his feet and get a nice cool drink). On Saturday we hiked to Lily Pad Lake, which is only a 2 mile hike from our front door. On Sunday we headed to Lake Dillon for a quick dip before we headed back home to the heat. See all of the pics from our weekend here.

After a long day of work on Friday, and the snow that we got on Friday night, Kyle & I planned on going snowboarding on Saturday. Before we left, Kyle took the dogs out to whiz and that's when it happened. It's a little hard to explain, but Izzy got her paw stuck in the stairs (the stairs are metal and have gaps to let snow, rain, etc. through) and when Kyle was helping her get unstuck, one of the stair supports cut her pretty badly between two of her toes.
